Short version: the calculators run entirely in your browser, the site uses cookie-free analytics to count visits in aggregate, and InvestorMath doesn't sell information about you.

What you type into a calculator

All calculations happen on your own device. The numbers you enter are not sent to us. They appear in the page address (URL) only so you can bookmark or share a scenario; if you share that link, whoever receives it can see those inputs.

Analytics

InvestorMath uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service that doesn't use cookies or track you across sites. It collects basic, aggregated visit info (pages viewed, referrer, browser/device type and country) so we can see which calculators are useful. To do this, Cloudflare adds its small analytics script to each page. Cloudflare's documentation says Web Analytics doesn't log query strings (the part of the page address after the "?", where the calculators keep your inputs).

Ads, cookies and other third-party scripts

There is no advertising and there are no tracking pixels, and the site sets no cookies. Apart from Cloudflare's analytics script, every script and stylesheet comes from InvestorMath itself.

What is stored on your device

Only your light/dark theme choice, saved in your browser's localStorage under the name im-theme. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Hosting

Like any website, the pages are delivered by a hosting provider, which necessarily processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to send you the page. InvestorMath doesn't use that information to identify or track you.

Error reports by email

If you report an error, your own email app sends the message, so we receive your email address and whatever you write. It's used only to check and answer the report.

The newsletter is run on beehiiv. The "Join the list" button opens InvestorMath's signup page on beehiiv; InvestorMath's own pages have no email field. If you subscribe there, beehiiv receives the email address you enter, stores the subscriber list and sends the newsletter. beehiiv handles that data under its own privacy policy. Every issue will include an unsubscribe link.

Links to other sites

Some pages link to other websites, such as the IRS, the SEC's investor.gov and TraderToolStack. Those sites have their own privacy practices. See the disclosure page for how links are chosen.

Changes

If this changes, for example when the newsletter launches, this page will be updated first and its date changed.
